The founders of this site are a group of everyday people from all over the US and Canada who share a love of hunting, the outdoors and each other.  Years ago, we gathered together by chance on the Field and Stream hunting forum.  After that forum was shut down, we stayed in touch using e-mail list software.  We started calling ourselves the Huntnbuds and our campfire has blazed brightly for over five years as we sit on our stumps and spin our yarns and share our lives.  Occasionally stumps find themselves empty for a bit, but we keep them ready and dust them off joyfully when our friends return.

We’ve shared joy and pain, births and deaths, stories and advice, hunting trips, photos and craftsmanship.  We are a diverse and unusual group, yet there is no better way to describe the Huntnbuds other than calling all of us family, held together by mutual respect, trust, and true friendship.

We feel fortunate to have met each other on the web as we did, so we created this site AND this forum both with the hope of expanding our own cyber-family and to help others discover and develop new friendships.  If you're are interested in hunting, shooting, fishing, archery, cooking or ANYTHING outdoors click on the link to the forums above--we've got plenty of 'stumps' left.  See ya inside!
